「好美的透明魚」屏東海生館正推出「雀斯派倫特．費雪的祕密-染色透明魚標本特展」，百餘種經過染色透明魚，五彩繽紛絢麗顏色，彷彿工藝品一般精緻，讓參觀民眾發出讚嘆：「沒想到標本可以做得這麼漂亮」。海生館人員將各種魚類放置在甲醛中脂化凝固後，再以酒清脫水脫脂，並以雙氧水漂白，接著進行染色、脫色手續，最後以純甘油保存，一隻隻帶有絢麗色彩的透明魚就此完成。

海生館表示，小從吻仔魚、大到2公尺地震魚均能製作成透明魚標本，不過大型魚因肉身厚，得花較多時間完成。另這次也特別製作人類常食用吳郭魚、虱目魚等魚種，希望讓遊客知道我們常吃的魚類長什麼樣子。這次海生館透明魚標本展除標辭，也跟實踐大學、南台科技大學合作，設計製作多款互動遊戲、電子書、動畫及創產商品，幫助觀眾更深入瞭解魚類世界。(中國時報)，
